Treasury East on Etsy

If you are an avid Etsian, chances are you love making treasuries. For those of you who don't know, treasuries are a visual collection of listings on Etsy that anyone can create. It's so much fun coming up with different themes! Helping promote fellow Etsy sellers and having a chance that yours will be used on Etsy's main page are an added bonus!

The main treasury on Etsy is only available when the amount of treasuries drops below 333 so it was always a chance thing whether or not you got to make one. Now that Etsy has made Treasury East, we can make as many as we like, whenever we want!

I made this collection of teacups and mugs the other day. I love collecting unique dishes! Which one is your favorite?

Hobbit Land

There is a place not too far from where I live that is nicknamed Hobbit Land. It has to be to most beautiful place I have ever been!

It's 166 acres of woods that is privately owned, but the public is free to walk through the trails at their leisure. There are stone bridges, creeks, and moss covered rocks all throughout the acreage.

I went not too long ago with my husband and his brother. We had a blast hiking through the majestic forest. I brought back a small rock and acorn just to remind myself that places like that really do exist AND are in reach! I CAN'T wait to go there in autumn!!

Next time, I will be sure to bring a camera!

Cupcakes!

Who doesn't love cupcakes?! They're cute, fun, yummy and always bring a smile to the lucky receiver's face!

They are even fun to make with polymer clay! I'm always trying to find new ways to incorporate cupcakes into a craft that can be used.

Tea Room/Bakery/Inn

It's my dream (one of them) to someday open a tea room and bakery.

I would love to have a cozy place where you can have an afternoon tea and danish. Or, maybe you'd like to enjoy a cup a tea and then head next door to my bakery for a delicious dessert.

After I become established, I would love to expand it into a small inn with about 8 rooms. I loved the Dragonfly Inn on Gilmore Girls. That is sort of the look I would go for - sort of whimsical yet cottage-like with a tad of Victorian charm.

Tea cups, cupcakes, and breakfast in bed!

Oh.... One can dream :)

Needle Felting

Needle felting is another craft that I have been wanting to try out. I always find myself awed by the sculptures and creations that fellow etsians have created by needle felting.

Soon I will be getting some wool and felting supplies and I can't wait to make mushrooms and all kinds of whimsical creations!
